Mama gets to hold her son...love at first sight. Both a bit bruised...Elijah especially, but doing fine.

The Big Day has arrived!

Sunday, September 16th, we arrive at the Lakeside Birth Center for our BIG surprise! Petree baby #2, what will it be? Nancy breaks my water and gives me a sack of saline at around 7pm.
My two sweet sisters arrive for moral support. Their first time to witness a birth in person!
After about 2 1/2 hours of good, hard labor, and 3 strong pushes...out comes our baby boy! This is a picture of Daddy catching him. Look at that proud Papa! We had a strong hunch it was gonna be a boy. Born at 9:27 pm
He's a BIG one...8 lbs, 9 oz. and 22 inchs. He may be tall like his Mama and sister.
Welcome Baby Elijah Raymond Petree...Our little blueberry boy. We love you so much!
