The Petree Family of three left Auburn on June 25th for a month long adventure to the Malibu Club, Young Life's amazing camp for teenagers in BC Canada. Our assignment was to be the Program Directors for the month of July, along with our friend Stu Collins. While at Malibu, we shared a small rustic cabin with the Collins family, Stu, Michele, and their three sons, Brady, Caden and Tate.
Our Characters all month long were the "Coaches" who taught us very important things at meal times, Coach McGillicutty ~ the vietran coach (Stu), Tommy Hackenjaw ~ the coach in training (Shawn), Jack Steele the "Bad Guy" and the owner of the Pittsburg Steelers ~ (Our friend Sean McConnell AKA "Special Music Guy") and Annie Monroe the girlfriend of Jack Steele (Anna). The "Extreme Team", Rip (Shawn) and Slade (Stu) ran all the games and activities each week. And Nanny McFoo (Anna) with her trusty "Nanny Cam" was the walk-on each night at club.
Moriah was incredible! And seemed to enjoy all the excitement living with 400 people had to offer. We will have many fun stories to tell her when she gets older about her 3rd month of life that she spent at Malibu!
